Update Week 27

Dear All,

This week's big story is that the Prince has lost his crown - which just goes to show how quickly a 60-point gap can be made up.

Kirbs has crawled his way to the top of the table but as Brother Sheehy will now testify, it's a difficult position to hold on to - and not entirely comfortable as you look down on the vultures who are inevitably waiting for you to slip up.

Still, it's only a three point difference so nothing to get too upset about yet.

Now it's Brother Kirby's turn to see if he can hold on to the most coveted position in Fantasy Football until the end of the season.

Realistically, any of the top ten could still go on to win this competition, and that includes the Happy Monkeys who are in form at the moment and just three points short of joining the 1100 club.

At the bottom of the table, Flexys Fairies look to be in trouble but no-one else should write off their chances just yet. The change at the top of the table in recent weeks should illustrate that the bottom six teams would all need to be wary of the drop.

Yer Ma's Athletic still leads the way in the Conference League but only by 18 points from Gazza's Piping Hots - two teams who look ready and fired up for a return to the Premiership. Maybe this season in the Doldrums (good name for the Conference League next season maybe?) is what both managers needed to kick start their teams into action. Anyway, they're looking up for it and are more than comfortable leaders in their division. Gulladuff FF still holds that remaining promotion place but Steprightin and even Joeys Monsters still have an outside chance of stealing it at the last minute.

The bottom three in the Conference may as well pay their relegation forfeits now.

This week's highest scorer was The Happy Monkeys on 41, followed by Sheer Kidology on 38 and Harpic Amsterdam / Real Goldfish on 37.

Lowest scorers as usual were Cool Dude Zoo on 12, followed by the Well Hungarians and Fernando Muppetorres, each on 14.

This weekend sees the second round of the DITB FFA Cup which should be very exciting with 7 Premiership teams and 9 Conference teams in the draw - which will be coming up soon.
