League Update.

Dear All,

Short and sweet for some and not so sweet for others this week, as I'm snowed in at home today!!

We'll just look at the top of the tables this week.. bear in mind that these scores do no include Tues / Wed games which are part of week 22 - which is important for any teams competing in the preliminary round of the FFA Cup this week.

The Prince continues to lead the way in The Premiership, but an excellent Christmas period (84 points) brings Kirbs Crawlers into contention. Disappointing period for The Grapes, scoring 55 when all the teams around him have scored 70+.

The Premiership's lowest scorer was The Happy Monkeys with 30 points bringing Brother Shields to the brink of a relegation scrap!

In the Conference, You'llneverwalkalone is determined to ensure that the promotion places are NOT already tied up with a magnificent 97 points bringing him ever closer to the breakaway top three.

Joey's Monsters also performed well this week with 87 points, while Gazza's piping score of 82 brings him into contention for the Conference League title, putting some long awaited pressure on season long league leader Yer Ma's Athletic.
So, don't forget that this week is very important for teams competing in the preliminary round of the FFA Cup.

Six Conference League teams will automatically get a bye into the first round proper with the other 12 teams competing for the remaining six first round places.

Whichever team scores the most points in Week 22 will progress to the first round proper. In the event of a draw, there will be a replay next week. If it is still a draw after two weeks, the team with home advantage (i.e., the one whose name was drawn first) goes through.

Tuesday and Wednesday nights' scores will count in this week's scores so it might be worth checking the website to see how you and your opponent have fared so far. I suppose you could say it's half time already!
