Dear All,

 

It may look like hell is freezing over outside but that’s probably because the Chairman is due to become a father next week – all being well.

 

I remember when people once spoke about me settling down and having children, the general response was that hell would freeze over first.

 

Well, the prophecy has been fulfilled my friends.  That time has come and we’re expecting little Damien to arrive early next week.

 

So apologies in advance if updates are thin on the ground over the next few weeks – I’m sure Brothers Molloy and Nugent (as acting Conference League ‘Chairman’) will keep you up to speed with scores for your respective divisions.

 

Turning our attention to the Premier League, we may as well hand over the trophy now to Professor Festraerts whose Golden Shower are now firmly placed at the top of the table. 

 

With a nine point lead already established, it would surely take a collapse of catastrophic proportions for him to blow it from here.

 

Hanging on bravely to his coat tails is Harpic Amsterdam, with a substantial distance then to Probably the Best, Diaby Does Dallas and prince of darkness. 

 

Yes I said prince of darkness!

 

The rest of the top ten is fairly tight with defending champion, i.e., yours truly, struggling to keep in touch.  Surely this season can’t get any worse in terms of injuries???  I bet there are lots of you thinking the same thing!!!

 

I suppose it could actually get worse – I could be in the bottom half of the league! 

 

Or even worse, I could be in the C... C.... C... C... Con.. Conf.... aaaaagh I can’t even say it!  You know what I mean though...  that horrible smelly place where all the not very good FF managers hang out. 

 

You do realise I’m sure that I’m scudding myself big time with statements like that... famous last words and all that. 

 

Looking like possible Con... Con.... Con... candidates for relegation this season are Brothers Walls (!!!!), Henry Jnr (no surprise there) and McCauley (one Houdini act too many?).

 

Meanwhile, in the other league, the top three are pulling away from the rest, their sights firmly set on the promised land above.

 

Those teams are Kirbs Crawlers (aiming for a quick return to the top flight), Mattrua (where the hell did he come from!!) and early leaders The Rio Chargers.

 

At the bottom, Brother Nugent and Chuckle Brother Jnr O’Sullivan should be ashamed of themselves, while McAvoy looks like he’s trying to set a world record as the worst FF manager of all time.

 

So that’s about it folks.  My last update as a man who actually has time to do it – even though that has already been seriously squeezed of late.
