Dear All,
The results of the DITB quarter finals are as follows...
Chamonix Albion (C) 61 vs 59 HIT THE BAR (P)
One could say that this is the draw that everyone wanted. How long can Chamonix Albion's cup run continue and will high flying Crudden be McCabe#3's biggest scalp yet???
The answer is YES. McCabe#3's fine cup run continues. A thrilling contest and a wonderful victory for the Conference side. Crudden slips on the banana.
Gazza's Piping Hots (P) 49 vs 64 Diaby Does Dallas (P)
A possible corker as two of the Premiership's top ten teams do battle at the Hot Air Melodrome. Gazza is higher placed in the league but Brother Brogan's experience and big game mentality will be hard to beat. Tie of the round!
Brother Brogan's experience and big game mentality shines through to win this tie rather comfortably - leaving fans at the Hot Air Melodrone feeling rather deflated.
Yer Ma's Athletic (P) 46 vs 54 ABCDE FC (P)
Another exciting match ahead as Brother McDermott's quest for the elusive double continues. Yer Ma will offer stiff opposition though - particularly at home.
The scores are getting lower but that doesn't stop McDermott ease into the semi finals. The double is still on!
Probably The Best (C) 49 vs 41 Gulladuff FF (P)
The runaway Conference leader will be happy with a home draw against Gulladuff FF - even though Brother Henry is a former cup champion. A rare case of the Conference team being favourite here!
Probably The Best lives up to his favourite tag by beating former cup winner and Premier League team Gulladuff FF in the lowest scoring match of the round. How will the Conference leader fare in the big league next season?
So there you have it my friends. Congratulations to our winners and commiserations to our losers.
The four teams remaining in this year's DITB FFA Cup are...
Chamonix Albion (C)
Diaby Does Dallas (P)
Probably The Best (C)
ABCDE FC (P)
Two exciting semi-finals ahead in which we'll have two Premiership teams and two Conference teams.
The two Premiership teams must surely fancy their chances but remember they could also meet each other in the semis.
The crucial draw for the semi-finals will be made next week.
League update to follow shortly.
