League Update.

Dear All,

There's nothing to shake the pack up a bit like a cup weekend when all teams aren't playing.

That's why we see scores ranging from 6 to 62 in a crazy week which will force many managers to rethink their strategies.

The proud scorer of 62 this week is none other than Minus Three FC. Brother Johnston moves into fourth place with a realistic chance of lifting the title, and he also has his eye on the double as he's sitting pretty (well that's pushing it a bit!) in the quarter finals of the FFA Cup where he takes on a team that he describes as a 'gimme' in Decies Ant Atac. In the past he's been regarded as a bottler but Minus Three (still holder of the worst ever weekly score, hence his name) seems to be sticking the pace a bit better this season. Interesting days ahead!

Also impressive this week were Minibabybelle FC doing the ladies proud (do you hear that Toffees!!!) with an excellent 56 points, as Sister Baber reclaims a place in the top ten. Looking good to claim the 'Wizard of Oz' title that I've just made up (no prize though!) against those other no hopers from down under. ;-)

Next up in the high scoring charts is a return to form from the Muppetaldinhos whose 48 points moves him further from the relegation zone (bottom three!) but still not close enough to premier league football (if you know what I mean!).

I must also mention the return to second place of The Penalty Kings as self-professed football guru Walls moves to within a mere seven points of the lead, thanks to a koptastic 41 points.

I'm not proud of my own score this week. It's not big and it's not clever.

But it's still better than the following pile of c**p!...

The absolutely abysmal pathetic Cool Dude Zoo... six points! The (sticky) Toffees (puddings!)... seven points!! Prince (mince!) of Darkness... nine points!!!

The less said about those scores the better... move on folks, nothing to see here!

And we'll not mention the continuing plight of the Well Hungarians!

So my friends, just as you thought you were safe, you may now be in danger again.

Just as you thought you had no chance, there may now seem to be light at the end of the tunnel.

One thing is for sure. It is possible that all sorts of occurrence may take place... and more often than not, such occurrences actually do!

Never give up hope. There are still enough games left this season to enable you to fulfill your ambitions.
