The FA Cup is always an unpredictable affair and it's always difficult to tell if managers will field their strongest teams against weaker lower league opposition.

That may help explain a week in which the top score was 80 and the bottom score was ten times less than that!

Firstly, we have a new leader in the Grapes of Raff, battling away as usual at the top of the table and now under threat from The Dogs Ballacks who cruise into second position wiht the week's highest score of 80 points. Meanwhile, last week's league leader The Penalty Kings fall to third place with a paltry 18 points.

Other high scorers this week were Ashburton Groove N7 with 76 and Harpic Amsterdam whose 68 points moves Manager Molloy into the top ten at last. Now he can show his face with pride at the ACP on January 20 (hint hint).

And believe it or not, The Penalty Kings' score was not even in the bottom three this week.

Manager McGinley is considering changing his team name to Jubilee Cor-dodo having scored just EIGHT points this week while Cool Dude Zoo and The Muppetaldinhos both clocked up an unlucky 13. No joy for the minnows in this year's FA Cup!

So, as we can see, the fortunes of both Arse-nal and Liverpool are no doubt reflected in this week's highest and lowest scores. The less said about that the better.

Arguab;y the most surprising event of the week is the Prince of Darkness' dramatic fall from fourth to 11th position in a matter of a couple of weeks. The Prince, you will remember, was top of the table before the Christmas break! Proof, if ever proof was needed, that, in this league, anything can happen.

Oh yes... and it usually does!

GAZZA MAC WATCH! Oh deary deary me. The Piping Hots slip back into the red zone with a score of 28 points

RED TO BLACK! Moving back to the comfort and safety of the black zone are stalwarts Brendy's Bruisers (21st to 16th) and The Blue Monkeys (23rd to 19th)

BLACK TO RED! Dropping into the danger zone are Gulladuff FF (20th to 21st) and Gazza's Piping Hots (19th to 23rd)

So there you have it folks.

As I mentioned previously, the draw for the first round of the FFA Cup will take place at 5pm today. Stay tuned.
